The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) is a voluntary humanitarian organization to protect human life and health based in India. It is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The society’s mission is providing relief in times of disasters, emergencies and promoting health and care of vulnerable people and communities. It has a wing called Youth Red Cross Society especially for College students to bring social awareness.

The objectives of Youth Red Cross

  • To bring awareness on the care of their own health and that of others.
  • To create an understanding and acceptance of civic responsibilities and act accordingly with humanitarian concern, to fulfill the same.
  • To enable the growth and development of a spirit of service and sense of duty with dedication and devotion in the minds of youth.
