It’s the flash of the Gonzaga College history to celebrate 12 college day, after two years later. Promote service among the pupil, invited Raman Magsaysay Kulandai Francis, Founder & Director, IVDP, Krishnagiri as chief –guest, Rev. Sr. M Theresa Gnamani, FSAG, Assistance Superior General & Vice Chairperson, Puducherry, Rev. Sr. Dr. A Antony Maria Jansi, FSAG, General Education Councillor, Secretary, St. Joseph College of Arts and Science for Women, Salem. Rev. Fr. P Martin Chritu Dass – Parish Priest, Kathampallam. Mr. U Santhanampillai, Chairman, USP Group of Hotels, Hosur, Er. A Anchala Sahaya Mary, B. E.,Superintending Engineer, K.E.D.C, Krishnagiri, Mr. K Selvamani, President, Orappam Panchayat, Ms. L Jacintha William Rtd. PET President, Pallepalli Panchayat were the guest of honors. The events initiated with the band and dance procession sustained by the invocation and lighting of the lamp. Rev. Sr. A John Dayana, Vice-Principal invited the gathering. Rev. Dr. E Glitta Sumangali, Principal presented the college report and the team of dancers excelled and invited the dignitaries. Rev. Mother C Noel Rani, Secretary felicitated the gathering. Guest of honors Assistant superior general and the General education coordinator and the Parrish priest kathampallam delivered the felicitations on “The mission of Gonzaga Sisters in uplifting downtrodden Women in the Society”, “The Role of Higher Education to Empower Rural Young women”, “The service of Gonzaga College in uplifting Rural Young Women in and around, Krishnagiri” respectively. The chief guest addressed the gathering and pinpointed how the youth are expected to be more responsible for their lives without hurting their parents, and how important to get education before entering into the family life etc., were motivated the gathering. In favor of college the Chief Guest announced Rs. 25,00,000 for the enhancement of the college technologically sound. College administrators appreciated the major contribution of IVDP chief guest in uplifting society, and in honor of that, they presented the award “Vilimbugalin Vidiyal”. The rank holders, subjects’ toppers, out-gone toppers, and best field workers were awarded with the shield and certificate by the dignitaries. The cultural team presented Thamizha Thamizha movie alive, in which nearly 250 students were participated that combines folk, western, jolly dances, and comedy. This film was centered on the topic of how Tamil Nadu’s culture has changed over time and what the current scenario is. The audience enjoyed very much and expressed its good movie. Finally, Me. J. Sakthi Devi, head of the Costume and Fashion Design department, proposed a vote of thanks. The anthem was sung.
